Agustín es Ingeniero Industrial egresado del ITBA con un MBA de doble titulación de ESIC Business School (Madrid) y SISU University (Shanghai). Luego de desempeñarse durante un año y medio como Country Manager de Wayra Argentina, pasó a liderar el cargo de Manager para Wayra Hispam. 

En sus comienzos, y luego de trabajar en una startups de tecnología, entró al grupo Telefónica como joven profesional en 2008 donde se ha desempeñado en diferentes roles locales y globales: analista en el equipo de Estrategia de Telefónica Argentina; jefe de Proyectos en el equipo B2B de Telefónica Global; Business Manager del CFO en Telefónica Hispanoamérica y finalmente como Gerente de Planificación Comercial en Telefónica Argentina. 

Agustina Palmai

Agustina Palmai is part of the Corporate Development team of Mercado Libre (NASDAQ:MELI). The team covers the analysis and execution of M&A opportunities, management of the Corporate Venture Capital Fund (MELI Fund) and development of new businesses in Latin America. Before MELI, Agustina spent 4 years at Endeavor Argentina (a non-for-profit focused on high-impact entrepreneurs), selecting and supporting entrepreneurs.

Previously Agustina lived 14 years in Brazil. Agustina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad Tocuato Di Tella and also completed a Master´s degree in Finance from the same university.

Diego Serebrisky

Diego Serebrisky es un experimentado y reconocido inversionista en Latinoamérica. Actualmente es Co-fundador y Managing Partner de Dalus Capital, fondo de inversión de capital emprendedor y crecimiento basado en México (anteriormente llamado Alta Ventures Mexico). Invierte en empresas emergentes Latinoamericanas de alto crecimiento en cuatro temáticas: Inclusión, Innovación climática, Productividad de negocios y Consumidores digitales. Diego ha liderado las inversiones de Dalus/Alta Ventures y es consejero en Clip, Kubo Financiero, Technisys, Xertica, Sirena, UnDosTres, DecisionNext y Luuna.

Anteriormente trabajó 15 años en Advent International, un fondo global de capital privado, primero en la oficina de la Ciudad de México por 13 años y luego en Bogotá, Colombia, donde estuvo a cargo de la apertura de la oficina y luego de liderar el equipo.

Antes de eso Diego trabajó como consultor con McKinsey & Company, en Caracas, Johannesburgo y Nueva York, apoyando a clientes en análisis estratégico de sus negocios.

Diego ha sido Presidente de la Asociación Mexicana de Capital Privado – AMEXCAP – durante 2008-2009 y ha vuelto a ser Miembro del Consejo en 2017-2019. También a sido Miembro del Consejo de ColCapital – la Asociación Colombiana de Capital Privado – desde su creación hasta principios de 2016. Además participa como mentor de Endeavor, MassChallenge y en diversas actividades de desarrollo del ecosistema emprendedor. Diego es ingeniero de computación, summa cum laude, por la Universidad Simón Bolívar en Caracas, Venezuela; y tiene un MBA de la Sloan School of Management, perteneciente al Massachussets Institute of Technology (MIT).

Eduardo Cortina is based in the Mexico office, providing execution support for the Latin American region.
Mr. Cortina brings 15 years of finance industry experience, over twelve years of which he spent specializing in Private Equity. In addition to focusing on sourcing and executing several investments in Mexico and broader Latin America, he has also led fundraising efforts in Mexico fund and supported on most aspects of the regional fund. Has been involved in over a dozen transactions in private equity, serves on the board of five companies and is the chairman of the board of directors of the Mexican private equity association (AMEXCAP).
Before joining Abraaj, Mr. Cortina worked in portfolio management and equity investments for Banco Santander in Mexico from 2007 to 2008. Prior to Santander, from 2005 to 2007, he worked at Actinver, a medium-sized Investment Bank in Mexico. He started his career in a water treatment plant construction company.
Mr. Cortina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, an MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and is a CFA® charter holder.

Federico Antoni

Federico is a pioneer in the venture capital industry in Mexico. In 2012, he co-founded Antoni Lelo de Larrea Venture Partners (ALLVP), the first institutional early stage venture capital fund in the country. As Managing Partner of ALLVP, Federico has successfully raised three Funds focused on Seed, Series A, and Series B investments. He has overseen more than 25 investments to-date across four sectors: FinTech, Consumer Internet, Healthcare, and Smart Cities, some of his most successful and innovative startups include, Cornershop, on-demand application, Enlight, Mexico's fastest growing solar residential provider and Dentalia, Mexico's leading dental clinic network positioned as the go-to dental care provider all across the country.

Federico has extensive experience in marketing, branding and development, retail, e-commerce and scale-up of operations internationally. Before ALLVP, he held marketing positions in companies such as Submarino, CEO of Televisa and L´Oreal and was from Edoardos. Federico is a Techcrunch collaborator and professor of Entrepreneurship and Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he received his MBA. He has a Bachelor and Master in Applied Economics from Paris Dauphine. He is also a co-founder of AFICO, the Mexican Crowdfunding Association, and co-president of COMFEI, the Franco-Mexican Council for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Dr. Cárdenas has been a researcher and professor affiliated to Harvard, Columbia, IESE, UT Austin, TEC de Monterrey, and EGADE Business School where he is the Director of the Center for Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship. He has post-doctorates from Harvard and Columbia and studied his PhD at HEC UNIL and EPFL in Switzerland. He obtained an MBA from EGADE, and an MBA in International Business at NHH in Norway, and graduate studies in industrial engineering from Sophia University in Tokyo, and engineering at TEC de Monterrey and UT Austin. He develops through Ascendis Capital Corporate Venture Capital strategies with impact in growth and profitability. He has been a consultant and researcher at companies such as Cisco, Nokia, Alcan, Logitech, General Electric, Cemex, FEMSA, Credit Suisse, Volaris, Axtel, Proeza, Coca-Cola, Arca Continental, Metalsa, Heineken, Grupo Multi Medios and Nestlé. He was previously partner at Vento Capital and GreenTEK Ventures; a global private equity fund based in Switzerland affiliated to the United Nations Environment Program - Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy. Previously at Norsk Hydro Statoil he showed strong skills to analyze commercial value propositions and execute long-term multi-million-dollar contracts with large global companies. Juan Francisco (Paco) Jimenez

Partner in Bain & Company's Mexico City office. He is an expert in the firm's Enterprise Technology and Telecommunications, Media and Technology practices. He is also an active member of the Healthcare and Financial Services practices.

Juan has nearly 10 years of management consulting experience across a range of industries, capabilities and geographies.

Juan advises clients in industry sectors such as telecommunications, financial services, software, airlines, industrial goods and services and healthcare. In these engagements, he works with business leaders to address technology strategy, growth, customer loyalty and go-to-market strategies, among others. He serves clients throughout Mexico, the United States and the rest of Latin America, including Central America, Colombia, Perú and Brasil.

In addition to his client work, Juan is in charge of the Associate Consultant recruiting program and participates heavily in recruiting activities. He is also in charge of the internal customer loyalty program in Mexico.

Prior to joining Bain in 2006, Juan led several IT initiatives in the financial services, manufacturing and software industries. He also led economic development projects at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Juan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the National University of Mexico. He also has a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Systems Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from The Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.

Héctor Sepúlveda

Since Héctor set out as an entrepreneur in 2001 he has founded six enterprises, which have achieved a joint private investment of over USD $52M with 2 successful exits. Over the years Héctor has ventured in pharmaceutics, retail, real estate, manufacturing and tech. In 2013 he co-founded “Intangible”, the first Mexican company builder and innovation hub focused on fostering technological entrepreneurship in México. Additionally, in 2014 Héctor co-founded Nazca Ventures, the first regional focused Latin American venture capital fund, which in 2015 partnered with Mountain Partners. Héctor is a Global Endeavor Entrepreneur and Industrial Engineer from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

Héctor Shibata es Director de Inversiones y Portafolio de AC Ventures (ACV_VC), fondo Corporativo de Venture Capital de Arca Continental, donde es responsable de liderar los procesos de inversión y administrar el portafolio. En el rol actual, Héctor es parte del Comité de Inversiones, también es profesor adjunto impartiendo la cátedra de Entrepreneurial Finance & Venture Capital en la escuela de negocios del Egade en el Tec de Monterrey y es senador del World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF).

Antes de esto, Héctor fue Socio Director en una Startup Fintech. Además, Héctor ocupó cargos previos en Private Equity y en Banca Corporativa y de Inversión en Nueva York y México. Héctor se graduó del MBA de NYU Stern en Nueva York y de Ingeniería Industrial del Tec de Monterrey en México con honores.

James was editor of Private Equity News, part of Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal in London, for nearly four years until May, 2010 when he launched Global Corporate Venturing as an independent title from his own publishing company. This was followed by the launch of the second publication, Global University Venturing, in January 2012 to help students and faculty and academia more broadly launch or develop their entrepreneurial businesses and work with external peers. The company, Mawsonia’s, third title, Global Government Venturing, was launched in May 2014, and rebranded to Global Impact Venturing in February 2019.
As well as editing Private Equity News, James coordinated leveraged buyout and venture capital coverage for use by other titles in the Dow Jones and News Corporation group, acted as a spokesman on BBC radio and television and chaired awards and conferences for a host of media groups, including the BVCA awards and event for more than 1,000 people in October, 2009.
Previously, James had freelanced for a host of national and trade media titles, including the BBC, Financial Times, Economist, Independent on Sunday, Sunday Express and Dow Jones Newswires; provided research for Nick Davies’s book, Flat Earth News; was a foreign correspondent in central and eastern Europe; and was international editor for FT Business.

Jan joined Sonect’s journey as an Angel Employee in July 2017. Before that, he worked several years as a consultant for one of the top business travel agencies, while attending a leading Swiss business school and undertaking his first entrepreneurial projects. He went on to study International Management at the renowned Zurich University of Applied Sciences and Ibero-American University in Mexico City. During his exchange year he learnt about the immense issues of cash logistics and access to cash in Mexico and Latin America, which led him to pursue the expansion of Sonect to the region. Today he is responsible for Sonect’s expansion to Latin America and is a firm supporter of the local startup ecosystem.

Javier se unió a FEMSA en 2014 después de más de 6 años de servicio en la firma de consultoría Bain & Company. Jesús García Chapa, Director Ejecutivo, Arca Continental
Es Director Ejecutivo de Venture Capital en Arca Continental. Anteriormente fue Director General Adjunto de Finanzas y Administración en Farmacias del Ahorro. Cuenta con amplia experiencia en México y en el extranjero en áreas como logística, finanzas, administración, planeación estratégica y tecnologías de información. Es Ingeniero Mecánico Administrador egresado del Tecnológico de Monterrey, y cuenta con una maestría en Ingeniería Industrial y Administración de la Universidad de Stanford.

José Daniel “JD” joined FEMSA in 2015. In 2018 he joined FEMSA Ventures, the Corporate Venture  Capital fund within FEMSA (ticker: FMX), where he has been serving as the Fund Manager. FEMSA  Ventures exists to build collaboration opportunities between the best startups and FEMSA’s business  units. JD runs two parallel investment strategies within FEMSA Ventures, making both direct  investments into startups with strategic value creation potential, and indirect investments as LPs into  the best VC funds in the geographies where FEMSA operates. Prior to that position he worked for  FEMSA’s M&A team and for a venture builder in the automobile industry. 

JD was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. He enjoys his family time with his wife Bea and their child  Matias. Luis Alberto Pérez Nazar: cuenta con más de 13 años de experiencia a nivel gerencial en el sector financiero y con una Maestría en Administración Financiera por parte de la Universidad La Salle. Es un empresario apasionado del emprendimiento, la innovación, las tecnologías transformadoras y de la gestión de proyectos. Ha participado como ponente en congresos económicos de talla internacional como lo fue en el International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences” en la Universidad Británica de Columbia en Vancouver, Canadá, con el tema: “Las Capacidades de los Emprendedores Emergentes en México”. Por más de 8 años se ha desempeñado como Consultor de Negocios. Actualmente es socio fundador y Director General de CIGE México, una Compañía Fintech, en donde han desarrollado a IF, el primer Consultor Virtual de Negocio para emprendedores, atendiendo a más de 15 mil micro y pequeñas empresas en México, Latinoamérica y Europa.
Dentro de CIGE México han conseguido participar en diversos programas de aceleración con empresas como Angel Ventures México, FactoryA (Scotiabank y el Tecnológico de Monterrey), Village Capital e Irrazonable México. Con 14 años de experiencia en procesos de Recursos Humanos, Luis Francisco actualmente se desempeña como el responsable del área de Asesoría de Valor de la Gestión de la Experiencia Humana para México. Dentro de sus responsabilidades, está apoyar a las organizaciones a identificar el camino para la transformación digital de las áreas de Recursos Humanos identificando los procesos que generarán más valor, minimizarán la complejidad, todo con alineación a la estrategia corporativa.

María joined Mountain Nazca in 2017. Prior to joining Mountain Nazca, María spent five years in the banking sector. She worked for UBS Wealth Management in Mexico City as an Investment Advisor providing financial solutions for High Net Worth Individuals. Before UBS, she worked for Deutsche Bank Asset and Wealth Management in New York where she held several positions as part of Key Client Partners, a team dedicated to providing institutional coverage to Latin American Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and Family Offices. She worked on cross-asset sales, private placement deals, financing, and alternative investments. She held previous positions at Merrill Lynch Bank of America in the Alternative Investments Platform, covering third-party private equity firms and hedge funds. María holds a Bachelors degree in law from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and an MBA from IE (Instituto de Empresa) in Madrid. She currently serves as a board member for AMEXCAP (Asociación Mexicana de Capital Privado)

Nicolas Berman is a Partner at Kaszek Ventures, a Venture Capital firm focused in the technology industry in Latin America.

Before joining Kaszek Ventures, he worked for 13 years at MercadoLibre, where he was VP of Advertising, VP of Marketing, Marketing Manager, and covered several roles in the company’s technology and product areas. 

He currently sits on the board of several technology companies across Latin America.

Mr. Berman received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Buenos Aires and is a Kauffman Fellow. 

In addition, he was the President of AMDIA (Argentina’s direct marketing association), received an Echo Award by the DMA in 2000, and is currently an active mentor for Endeavor.

Ricardo Weder es un emprendedor e impulsor del ecosistema tecnológico en México y Latinoamérica. Actualmente se desempeña como Fundador y CEO de Jüsto, empresa que busca transformar la industria de alimentos y bienes de consumo en LATAM empezando con el primer supermercado online en México.
Anteriormente se desempeñó como Presidente Global de la empresa Cabify. Donde fue pieza clave en el crecimiento y expansión de la misma, desde una pequeña operación hasta convertirse en un unicornio tecnológico valuado en 1.4B USD y con presencia en todo Iberoamérica. Ricardo pasó por las posiciones de Country Manager de México, Head of Growth, General Manager LATAM, COO, CEO & Presidente.
En su trayectoria profesional colaboró con empresas del sector financiero como HSBC, J.P. Morgan y PWC. Como emprendedor ha fundado empresas en el sector financiero, bienes raíces, servicios y consumo.
Además de haber sido profesor universitario, es conferencista internacional sobre movilidad, innovación y emprendimiento. Es consejero independiente de Principal Financial Group en México, parte de la red de expertos del World Economic Forum y ha sido invitado a ser miembro fundador su comunidad de Global Vanguards. Rishi is an Expert Partner and Founder of the Bain Innovation Exchange, Bain’s center of excellence that builds relationships with the global VC/Startup ecosystem and helps accelerate innovation for clients. He has over 14 years of experience in innovation, venture capital, startups and strategy. Prior to Bain, Rishi was a founder at two startups and a VP at Pritzker Group Venture Capital, investing in D2C, consumer mobile, ecommerce and B2B early stage startups.

Rodolfo is Managing Director at Proeza Ventures, a venture capital fund exclusively dedicated to mobility. Rodolfo’s role includes sourcing, evaluating, structuring and closing new investments, managing PV’s current investment portfolio, and participating in the board of directors of some of PV’s portfolio companies. Rodolfo has over 15 years of experience advising middle-market companies on a variety of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising activities totaling more than US$6.5 billion, and over 6 years of experience in the venture capital industry having executed 25+ investments with over US$40 million in capital commitments. Rodolfo was Chief Investment Officer at PSM, an impact investing fund based out of Mexico City, M&A director at Fimecap, Vicepresident for BBVA Bancomer’s Americas Corporate Finance Group, and a Senior Associate at Credit Suisse’s M&A Technology Group. He received a BA in Economics from Monterrey Tec and earned an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Rogelio de los Santos ha fundado 9 empresas y ha invertido en 35 empresas innovadoras de alto crecimiento y es reconocido por su habilidad para crear proyectos de gran impacto.

El señor De los Santos es Socio Director de Dalus Capital; es Presidente del Consejo del Instituto de Emprendimiento Eugenio Garza Lagüera y Presidente del Consejo de Capital Tech; participa como Consejero en Converus, eFactor, Fricaeco, Growth Institute, Inmobly, Nuve, SparkCognition y Wanderu.
